Thanks for the extra pocket change, Apple!

iPhone 4 Antenna Press Conference

Good news to all of those who were blighted by the antenna problems of the iPhone 4: You’ve won your lawsuit.

Remember back when the iPhone 4 was released there was a big scandal about cellular frequencies being blocked when your hands touch a certain area? According to AFP, Apple finally settled the lawsuit, awarding iPhone 4 owners who bought the phone in June 2010 with either $15 or a free case.

“This settlement relates to a small number of customers who indicated that they experienced antenna or reception issues with their iPhone 4, and didn’t want to take advantage of a free case from Apple when it was being offered in 2010,” Apple told CNET in a written statement.

Eligible customers should be receiving an email from Apple sometime in April whereupon they will have up to 120 days to claim their reward. The website iPhone4Settlement.com has been established in the meantime, but not yet activated as of this morning.

So rejoice, iPhone 4 customers. There is $15 or a free case awaiting you.
