Amazon now accepts your old electronics as part of its Trade-In program. Previously, you were only able to trade in your books, movies, and video games. For example, I own a 2nd generation iPod Touch 16 GB model. According to Amazon, I can get a $74 Amazon.com gift card in exchange. Some things you should note about the Trade-In program:
- Each individual trade-in item is limited to a maximum value of $750.
- If an item you ship over to Amazon is rejected, Amazon will return your item back to you within 14 days after receipt at no cost to you.
- If your trade-in items are accepted, an Amazon.com gift card valued at the item’s quoted price will appear in your Amazon account. No redemption is necessary for you to use the gift card as it is part of your available balance.
- Amazon will cover the cost of shipping to items over.
