PlaceboCast 1: Don’t call this a pivot. Yet.

In an effort to spur creativity, Joseph and I decided it was time to explore a different model for discussing the latest in technology: podcasting.

I’ve never been much of a fan of podcasts, mainly because I didn’t have the patience sitting through the hour-long recordings. In the age of Twitter and Vine, how could we capture the interests of today’s Internet audience with long-form content like an audio recording?

Frankly, I don’t know the answer to this. When the idea came into discussion, it was novel and virgin territory. I was feeling bogged down as I struggled to keep the blog updated with new content. I needed a slight change of direction. A new pair of shoes. A new haircut.

Thus, we’ve recorded our first official podcast in a nascent series we’ve dubbed, PlaceboCast. Sounds better than Qwikster at least, right?
