It’s an age-old problem that has been tackled countless times in the past: Where should I go out to eat tonight?
A personal favorite of mine is the aptly named website WHERE THE FUCK SHOULD I GO TO EAT? It’s quick, it’s simple, and you gotta love the humor. Just tell them your location, and they’ll find you a restaurant you might like. Unfortunately, like many other restaurant recommendation websites/apps, there are more swings-and-misses than hits.
Ness is a personalized search engine for restaurants. Available for iOS, Ness works intelligently by learning your tastes and preferences over time based on your ratings of places you’ve eaten at. It also integrates with Facebook and foursquare to let you view places your friends have been to as well as any reviews they’ve written.
As you continue to use Ness, the app will make recommendations for places to try out and calculates a percentage score of the likelihood of you liking the place. The app itself is beautifully designed and makes Yelp look like something created with Geocities.
