As Twitter continues to grow in popularity, the number of hacked accounts multiplies. Whether due to a weak password or following a malicious link from a tweet or email, it even more difficult than ever before for users to keep maintain the security if their privacy online.
The infographic below posted on Visually looks at some infamous Twitter hacks, like when Justin Bieber tweeted his hackers’ phone number in revenge. I have no idea how Bieber got the number.
In addition, the infographic highlights recent developments towards tightening security measures including SSL support, banning the use of common passwords, and remembering that DM’s aren’t the same as replies.
