I tend to have three reactions:

  1. Greedy publishers just want more page views!
  2. 10 more pages?! I don’t have the committment to go through all of that!
  3. I wish there was a ‘single-page’ view mode.

How to Remember 100 Names in 5 Minutes

I’m terrible with names. I forget names during movies, books, and even interviews. It’s embarrassing whenever I run into someone I recognize, and their name completely escapes me. “Heeeeeeeyyyyy [who the hell are you?]. How are you? Good? Cool, seeya later!”

Lifehacker posted an article recently describing techniques for boosting your retention of seemingly rote information, like a 20×25 grid of numbers. The post linked to this “Remember Names Game” which I checked out, and I was blown away by the results. Here’s the strategy for remembering anyone’s name.

Moderating Disqus Comments on Your Blog Via Email

Disqus-Comment-EmailI use Disqus on this blog to handle the massive avalanche of comments that routinely flood my blog posts (true story). On frequent(rare) occasions, someone leaves an insightful comment or question that warrants an appropriate response.

Now, I could reply back by logging in to my WordPress dashboard and accessing the Disqus moderation panel (or just login to my account on Disqus), but it would take too long for me to respond.
