Must Listen: Biz Stone’s Interview with Howard Stern

Must listen? Does anyone actually use that phrase?

biz stoneToday, I came across an article on Techcrunch dated back to late March of this year, which summarized an interview Twitter co-founder Biz Stone had with radio host, Howard Stern. In it, much was focused on Biz and co-founder Evan Williams’ awkward meeting with Facebook CEO, Mark Zuckerberg back in fall of 2008. The purpose of that meeting focused on a possible acquisition opportunity by Facebook, with an initial proposal of $500 million.

Letterbombing Twitter to Get a Job

I first heard about letterbombing in a post on Techcrunch yesterday about two Dutch designers who were able to get a job using Twitter. The idea behind the original letterbomb was that you and a group of friends would leave posts on someone’s wall in order to reserve a section of space. At which point each individual updates their profile picture to a letter, which when combined translates to some message.

How to Create a Dynamic Twitter Follow Button

This week, Twitter rolled out their new, one-click Follow Button, which makes it easy for users to quickly follow Twitter accounts on any website they visit. Now, with Google officially rolling out their +1 buttons, one wonders whether yet another social media button is necessary. I personally like the new Twitter buttons, as it cuts the number of clicks for users to follow a Twitter account to just one. In fact, I’ve already added the Twitter buttons to this site. Finally…Twitter.com Receives a Much-Needed Redesign

Twitter HQ was abuzz this afternoon. The big announcement?

Well, we took a look at Twitter apps like Hootsuite, Nambu, Tweetdeck, Echofon, and the ocean of other desktop Twitter clients. Then, I said out loud, ‘Hmmmm…life would sure be great if these guys weren’t around! So, Twitter is coming out with a new redesign. Tweet your hearts out, you maniacs.”
